It was an evening of stardust and glamor at the gala event for Couture Fashion Week in New York City at the New Yorker Hotel.  Beauty and fashion were in the air, as designers premiered their Fall 2013 evening collections.  Designer Andres Aquino, the founder of Couture Fashion Week, hosted a show featuring several couture designers, as well as, performances by The Broadway Stars.  LW Designs opened the gala event with dramatic and detailed evening gowns with an exotic flare!

The pink runway lit up with beautiful models strutting in their high heeled platforms and oh so couture gowns!  Contemporary music and flashing lights gave rhythm and sparkle to the catwalk. Media and the press were everywhere, trying to capture the perfect shot!

Beautiful evening capes and furs were presented by Greek designer Loula Loi Alafoyiannis in a traditional Greek ballad accompanied by a guitar soloist.  Loula conveyed the feeling of a Mediterranean stroll on the catwalk.  It was a  nostalgic feeling of fashion and culture coming together.

The Broadway Stars performed solos, dance ensembles, and chorus performances throughout the show.  They were magnificent!

Andres Aquino was the grand finale to this gala evening!  He captured the audience with his bold styles, dramatic colors, and powerful statements emanating  from his creations!  It was simply breathtaking!

Following a press conference, I got to strut my stuff on the runway before heading out to the after party celebration at the EVR Lounge.

What a night! The glitz and glamor of couture fashion, the pink catwalk, cameras everywhere, entertainment, and the excitement of the audience made this quite the experience!  The after party finished off the night with an evening of partying unique to NYC!  Great music, drinks, talented people all socializing in a contemporary hot spot.

It was ohhh so couture!
