Ripe tomatoes and tomato pasteTomatoes are packed with lycopene, an antioxidant that can decrease your risk of bladder, lung, prostate, skin, and stomach cancers as well as coronary artery disease.  Red tomatoes are best because they contain more lycopene and processed tomatoes are just as good as fresh ones.  More sources of lycopene include red watermelon, pink grapefruit, papaya, and guava.

Add about 8 cherry tomatoes or a glass of tomato juice to your daily diet.
